Spring is here and man I wish this chick would hatch.....(-:

Friends and Family-
We had a great Easter weekend! We took the boat out Friday for the first time this year. The weather was awesome and the water was perfect.  We got a new tube that is "little kid" friendly. The kids can sit up straight in it and have back support. They loved it-we must have pulled them around for 20-30 minutes. They loved every minute. Josh has pics of the lake day on his phone so I will post those when he sends them to me.
Saturday we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at a friend's house out in the country.  Tons of kids, good food, great egg hunt. The girls had a great time. We came home that afternoon all exhausted.  After naps we dyed our own eggs and Jillian wrote the Easter bunny a letter.  We left it with some carrots on the front porch. He must have loved the carrots because he left Easter baskets and hid our eggs all over the house.  The girls had a great time waking up to the surprise.
After the hunt and breakfast we headed to church. It was a great service as usual. I am so thankful for our church family.  Since joining TBC Hattiesburg has really started to feel more like home.  There is something to be said about finding common ground in Jesus. It may sound silly but from where I stand it has proven true here to many times over the last few years.
As far as me I am done "cooking" as some might say. (-: Little baby Luke could come anyday and I would be happy. Ofcourse he can't arrive for about more 8-9 more weeks.....so, I will continue to wait not so patiently. Ha.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and is enjoying the spring weather. Enjoy the pics.
Love,
Jess
Madie fell asleep before the hunt. Our makeshift bed. (-:
Jillian was ready to find some eggs!
She woke up in time for the egg hunt and as you can see did just fine. (-:

They couldn't wait another second to dig into their eggs.
Jillian setting out carrots Saturday night for the Easter Bunny!
Jillian's letter to the Easter bunny. I helped a little, but she did most of it on her own!
We never got a great family pic. The lighting wasn't the best, but atleast you can see how cute the girls looked!!

Life is Good

Friends and Family-
What can I say.......life is good right now.  Everyone is doing great and the weather here has been beyond beautiful the past week.  God is good.....in the good times and the bad, but I will say it has been so easy to see his blessings as of late.  Maybe because I'm realizing how much of the things we have and do we do owe to Him. (-:
Madie and I have spent most mornings working in the garden and just playing outside.  Jillian has had alot of activities with school like the Japanese Arts Fest and her Easter party next week, all keeping this class Mom very busy, but I am enjoying every minute. I have taken a step back and have just been enjoying watching them go and grow.  I'm not sure what hit me but I have realized as of late that house work and other life priorities will always be there, but the girls are growing too fast to not just be fully present with them.  Hard to believe Jillian will be 6 in just a few weeks. The time is truly flying.
Josh is away this evening. He is racing in his first triathalon this year. Him and one of his traning buddies headed down towards the coast just for the night to be closer to the race site so they could get a good nights rest and not have to get up super early tomorrow to make their 7 am start time for the race.  He hasn't had a chance to train as much as he would have liked for this one, but he has more coming up so we will go cheer at those.  As for tonight the girls and I hit up the drive thru and are now enjoying a movie and a very loud, but fun rain storm. (-:
In other fun news we have finally decided on a name for the little baby boy that will grace our presence this summer.....Lucas Marvin Moore. We'll call him Luke.  I am really starting to get excited for this his arrival......or maybe I am just ready to be done with this pregnancy. (-: Either way his arrival is really starting to become a topic of discussion with the girls.  Lots of questions and answer. (-:
I have included alot of pics below. Some from our recent trip to Fulton where we celebrated my Nanny and Papa's 60th wedding anniversary.  It was a great party and we had a great weekend just spending time with one another, fishing, playing, and honoring two great role models.  It is always so great to see couples who have been together so long. It is such a testament that marriage can work if you put in the work. (-: I know Nanny and Papa have worked hard at their relationship through the ups and downs, but what an amazing thing after all this time to see two people still committed and in love.  Anyway, enjoy the pics and have a great week. Love to all.
Jess
 60 years and counting.....(-:

Spring is Here

Hey Friends and Family!
Spring is here. Josh, the girls and I have been busy planting a small garden and just enjoying the awesome weather. Jillian just got back from her Dad's-she went for spring break. Madie and I made a quick trip to KC while Jilly was gone to visit friends and my family. Josh had to stay in Hattiesburg all by his lonesome and work, but I don't think he minded the peace and quiet. (-:
We are all headed back to Missouri this weekend to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. Should be a fun time for everyone. It will be good to get the whole family together!

Summer is right around the corner. Hard to believe to the school year is winding down. Only 9 weeks left in kindergarden for Jillian! She is growing up so fast.  And only 12 weeks left until little baby Moore arrives. We are all getting excited for his arrival. Can't wait to meet him. We know he will be such a great addition to our family. He already is to be quite honest-the girls love talking to my belly and calling him "a little prince."

Well, that is all for now. Below are some great pics of the girls. Enjoy!

On our way home from KC Madie and I stopped by a Steak N Shake for a driving break. Madie decided she needed both hers and mine. She really likes those chocolate shakes. (-:
Picking up Jillian at the airport after her visit to her Daddy's. Madie was so happy to see her big sis.
Our garden we planted Sunday. We have everything from tomatoes to strawberries. Can't wait to pick and eat some fresh fruits and veggies.
My herbs! Rosemary, Basil and Cilantro. (-: Yum.

A fun, but busy week!

Hey Friends and Family-
Just a quick update on us.  Tomorrow is the big sonogram. We are still debating whether or not to find out the sex or wait and let it be a surprise!  If we find out I am sure you will all find out soon enough! (-: We all had a great weekend this past weekend. Josh and Jillian attended the "Dads and their Princesses" dinner at church (a couple pics below) on Friday night.  Jillian raved about the pink limo and that Josh and her got to play tic tac toe with crayons on the paper tablecloths. (-:
As for Saturday we did yard work and Jilly made friends with some new neighbors.  Madie took a nap which is rare these days so we all welcomed the peace and quiet for a few hours. (-: Sunday was church and then we went to a Super Bowl at some friends from our Sunday School Class. They have a daughter the same age as Jillian and we could hear them singing into Campbell's karaoke machine half the night. They had a great time needless to say.
Anyway, the rest of the week is pretty laid back.  Jilly has girl scouts tomorrow and Josh and I have a night out to look forward to Saturday night.  Other than that we are just hanging close to home.  Enjoy the pics from this week. (-:

Hey Friends and Family-
Just wanted to update everyone on what is going on with the Moore clan.  We are all doing well.  The girls are getting excited about the new baby. Josh and I are too.  I am now 21 weeks along-so over half way along.  Less than 18 weeks to go.  The little guy or gal is moving around alot and really starting to be a constant presence in my abodomen. (-:  I have a sonogram next week. We can find out the sex at that point, but we are thinking we may let this one be a surprise. We will see if our patience can outweigh the temptation to find out.
As far as things with Jilly-she is selling her girl scout cookies like crazy. She is doing really with it. So far in preorder we have sold about 200 boxes. I am very proud of her sales skills. We went to one of Josh's clients a few weeks back to sell cookies and she took over the place. She said her Daddy Josh maybe a good salesman, but she had better products.....cookies! They all laughed and ofcourse everyone bought cookies from her.....(-:  Her and I went shopping today for a fancy outfit. They are having a Dad's and their Princess' night at our church tomorrow night.  She is excited to dress up and go out with her Daddy Josh. From what I understand they are getting to ride in a pink hummer limo. Should be a good time for all the little girls. I will be sure to take pics of her in her fancy new outfit.
Madie is doing well too. She is really starting to talk. She has such a personality.  She is going to be our athlete. Climbing and wrestling constantly. Although she may be more of a girlie girl after all-check out the pic below of her in the princess gown. She spent all day Tuesday parading around in dress up clothes. She was quite the little queen. (-:
Josh is starting to train for his next round of triathalons. We are excited to cheer him on again this spring and summer.  (-:  Him and I just joined a couples' bible study on Monday nights and are really enjoying that time together. We have both done studies seperately, but this has been nice to do it together.
Well that is all for now.  Hope everyone is doing well.  Visitors are always welcome here, don't forget it!! (-:

A Crazy Christmas Season

Hey All-
It has been a crazy Christmas season.  I am sorry I have not updated the blog until now.....it feels like it has been a mad dash since before Thanksgiving.  Looking back it was a fun filled season. I am thankful for another wonderful batch of memories.
A quick update on everyone....I think most everyone knows we are expecting baby #3 in June, but if  you don't now you do!! (-:  We are excited. The girls are hoping for another girl, but I think its no secret Josh's fingers are crossed for a little boy, ha.  We have decided to find out what the baby is which can happen at 20 weeks. So 4 more weeks and we will know!!
Josh just finished up another great year of work.  He continues to excel and do really well.  He makes us all proud.  Jillian had a great Christmas break. I think she loved the break from school....the sleeping in was something she took full advantage of....(-:  She got to spend some time with her Dad in Oklahoma over Christmas break and got to go to San Fransisco for New Years' Eve with him and his family. She truly enjoyed the trip.  She has raved about the Golden Gate Bridge and also her first attempt at Ice Skating.  Madie spent the week with her sister away soaking up as much attention as possible. (-: We had a great time playing around with her.  She is pure entertainment.  We love her to pieces. Same for Jilly.....her gentle and sweet spirit is truly opposite from Madie so they continue to compliment one another nicely. (-:
As for me I am feeling good. The pregnancy has been good so far.  I am happy to say the weight has not come on like it did with the last two, but the baby is healthy and of the right so far.  I am hoping to be one of those pregnant ladies that is all belly this time. Ha. Hopefully it will come off faster that way too. (-: Above all I am just excited to add to this already great family. I can't imagine what another child will be like or how they will look, act, etc. I am so excited to be doing this again.
Well, that is all for now.  I will be able to keep up more frequently now that the holidays have passed. I promise to keep everyone updated as much as possible.
Love to all,
Jess and the crew.
Our new furniture and rug.  Josh and my Christmas present to one another.

Halloween down, Thanksgiving and Christmas to go....

When did Halloween become such a to-do?? It seemed like we were attending Fall Festivals and Halloween parties for weeks prior to the actual trick-or-treat extravaganza.  Despite the over extended schedule we all had a great Halloween. Jillian was the Wicked Witch of the West and Madie was Dorothy. Jillian loved the idea of getting to "get" her little sister. They both were super cute.

The week leading up to Halloween Mimi and Papa Tom visited and we had a great time with them. They were both able to attend Jillian's school Halloween party along with Josh, Madie and me. Dad broke out his story telling skills and read to her class. The kids loved it and it reminded me of when he used to read to my elementary classes every Friday. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing. Josh and I spent lots of time sleeping in which we were very thankful for.....doesn't happen much here. Mimi and Papa Tom took over the children and Josh and I became about as lazy as possible. (-:

Unfortunately we had to snap back to reality on Sunday when Mom and Dad headed back to KC.  Monday night we went trick or treating with some neighborhood friends. We had a 4 wheeler pulling a small trailer. The girls looked like "big stuff" on their make shift carriage. Jillian being a pro went from house to house. Madie was very hesitant at first and then realized there was candy at each door. She didn't walk the rest of the night... she ran as fast as she could.

We have added a new addition to the family. Her name is Daphne Ratatouille and she is a gray hamster. I won her at Jillian's school auction. It was a silent auction and I bid on a bunch of stuff just to bid.....well I've learned my lesson on that technique. If you bid on a hamster....you'd better want that hamster. (-:  Needless to say Daphne has escaped since she has arrived at our home and caused a full day hunt for her. We found her and Mommy now knows to double check all doors on the hamster cage frequently. (-:

As for this week we don't have alot planned. Jillian has a girl scout meeting Thursday, church Wednesday night and Josh has football practice tomorrow night....that reminds me, if I haven't already told you Josh is coaching 5th grade flag football.  They had their first game Saturday. It was a rough one, but Josh did great staying positive for the kids.  Some of them really need that encouragement.  On top of it all two of the kids on his team are twins and their Dad passed away unexpectedly last week.  So he is dealing with alot with this team.  The girls and I were the best cheerleaders we could be but truth be told Josh needs prayers. He is dealing with kids suffering from loss and some under priveledged kids.  Just pray he is able to rise to the challenge and be a positive role model that they may need right now.

Last but not least Jillian has exciting news. She has decided to welcome Jesus "into her heart." She has been very interested about being odedient and likes the idea of God as our heavenly Father and says "Jesus made sacrifices for us so I will be good for Him."  She may ask you about your relationship with Jesus so be ready. She has had me on my toes lately.  She is a smart girl and is really asking alot of questions and making sure she gets answers. I am really proud of her. It is very rewarding to see her blossoming into such an awesome girl.  Baptism is the next step somewhere down the road and we will make sure everyone is involved and will throw a big party for that for sure.
Well that is all for now!

Love,
Jess
